Rooms

When you think about “a room with a view,” the rooms at COMO Point Yamu easily come to mind. Only a few rooms do not have views of the sea, and the beautiful vistas are complimented by the ocean-inspired interior design of Paola Navone, who also accented the décor with references to Phuket’s own Peranakan heritage.

The most coveted luxurious accommodations are the ones with their own private infinity pools, from the Phang Nga Pool Rooms and Pool Suites with their own ocean view to the 27 private villas on the property. Each infinity pool provides a near-edgeless view of the horizon, where the pool almost merges with the waters of the ocean beyond it.

Among the 4 types of suites is the COMO Suite, which not only comes with its own pool but its own living area. This suite has two bedrooms with their own ensuite bathrooms and SleepHub technology, plus an epic view of the Andaman Sea.

Meanwhile, the pool villas come in a range of sizes and levels of luxury. Regular villas can range from one-bedroom villas for couples to three-bedroom properties that can hold groups of up to 8 guests including up to 2 children. All of these villas come with private infinity pools and breathtaking sea views, the better to enjoy a floating breakfast after a morning swim.

The Point Yamu Pool Villa has three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and can accommodate up to 8 guests including 2 children. Like the other three-bedroom pool villas, this villa has two levels with two living areas. A fully-equipped kitchen lets guests enjoy home-cooked meals, while the pool deck overlooks the blue water in the horizon.

Finally, the COMO Pool Villa stands out from the other villas with its panoramic sea view, large infinity pool, and private terrace area. This two-level villa has an expansive living and dining area as well as four plush bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, which can also accommodate up to 8 guests including 2 children.

Facilities

The facilities at COMO Point Yamu provide an all-inclusive resort experience that almost makes guests want to stay at the resort exclusively during their stay in Phuket. From the sea view and board games in the lobby lounge to the in-room yoga programming, every feature of COMO Point Yamu is meant to be enjoyed by guests.

The signature feature of COMO Point Yamu is the COMO Shambhala spa and gym, which offers numerous treatments and wellness programs for all guests, including programs for kids and teens. For fine-dining enthusiasts, the resort’s two restaurants are among the best restaurants within the eastern coast of Phuket. Nahmyaa represents adventurous takes on southern Thai cuisine, while La Sirena serves the best of traditional and modern Italian specialties.

In addition, the Aqua Bar serves up cocktails and light snacks at poolside throughout the day. The bar’s unique island is decorated with a metal-box installation by father-and-daughter artists Patrick and Benedicte Bailly, and the tropical-inspired cocktail menu incorporates ecoSPIRITS produced with reduced single-use glass waste.

Guests who are interested in holding special events at the resort would also be pleased to know that the resort has its own event venues, including a cliffside lawn with a stunning ocean view for weddings and formal outdoor gatherings. The lobby lounge is also a viable option for informal gatherings and cocktail parties of up to 40 people.

A private dining room with a marble table and a view of the tropical garden provides a space for intimate dinners, while two meeting rooms can be combined into one to accommodate workshops of more than 100 people. Taken together, the three meeting rooms are the perfect venues for power lunches, workshops, and other gatherings.

In addition to the dedicated event venues, the resort also allows guests to hold gatherings at the pool villas, which suit conference groups of up to 24 delegates. Since the villas have expansive living and dining areas, the layouts can be customized to fit the requirements of each gathering.

Services

Many services for guests can be arranged through concierge services at COMO Point Yamu. These include participation in the Play by COMO program as well as childcare and kids’ amenities. Concierge services can also assist in booking airport transport, in-resort Thai language classes and Muay Thai lessons, among other experiences

Getting There

COMO Point Yamu is located in the prestigious Cape Yamu estate on the eastern coast of Phuket. The resort is no more than half an hour away from Phuket International Airport, and private airport transfers are offered for guests. A number of private villas in the Cape Yamu estate are also within driving distance.
