FACILITIES

Spa Botanica is located on the second floor of Auberge Discovery Bay, alongside the hotel’s fitness center and other wellness facilities. The 10 private spa treatment rooms at the spa are getaways in and of themselves, with panoramic sea views from the windows of every room. The sea views contribute to the spa’s relaxing environment.

Guests are given their own towels and access to the spa’s whirlpool, where they can opt for a blissful aromatherapy soak for an extra charge. Access to the fitness center can also be requested from the spa’s staff, as Spa Botanica also offers a rehab menu for athletes in need of services such as passive stretching and sports massage.

SIGNATURE TREATMENTS

Spa Botanica offers four types of body massages, including hot-stone massage and lymphatic massage designed to help move fluid from the lymphatic system through the body. But the spa’s most remarkable treatments are also the most requested among spa guests.

The 180-minute Detox Retreat, for example, combines a full-body massage with a rejuvenating facial to improve problems with fluid retention in the body. Guests who request this three-hour treatment emerge with a greater sense of relaxation, as well as less bloating.

The Silky Cashmere Dip promises a relaxing experience and skin as soft as the finest cashmere, with a combination of multiple treatments including an aromatherapy massage and a scrub made out of jasmine and rice. Like the Detox Retreat, the Silky Cashmere Dip lasts for three hours, making it the ultimate indulgence for spa lovers.

Couples can also experience their own getaways with a Couples’ Oasis treatment package that lasts for three hours. Here, couples can experience a selection of head-to-toe treatments designed for relaxation while sharing special moments together in private.

The spa also offers a 60-minute Aromatherapy Massage Package that comes with a “Green and Healthy” lunch. Guests can not only sign up for a relaxing aromatherapy massage, but they can also choose between a 2- or 3-course set lunch menu. Rates can vary between weekdays and weekends, so advance booking is required.

Spa Botanica even has family-friendly spa treatments for parents and children. The Mommy and Princess Treat for mothers and daughters lasts for 75 minutes and includes kid-friendly treatment formulations for face and body. A similar Daddy and Prince Treat is also available for fathers and sons.

Other treatments available at the spa include the Organic Female Harmony Lymphatic Treatment, which targets the lymphatic system, as well as anti-aging Radio Frequency facials. Facials and massages can also be customized with the guidance of spa staff.

Services

In addition to the spa’s packages and signature treatments, guests can request add-ons  for an extra charge, such as the use of the spa’s hot tub for aromatherapy baths. Ear and navel candling can also be requested to clean out debris from hard-to-reach nooks in the body, and an additional body scrub provides additional exfoliation and glow to the skin.

Add-ons to facial treatments include special anti-aging treatments for the delicate skin around the eye area, as well as a face-lifting treatment that uses radio-frequency waves. RF treatment is said to provide benefits such as enhanced collagen and elastin production, tightening of the skin, and improved skin texture.   

Among the salon treatments offered by Spa Botanica are manicures, pedicures, and treatments for hands and feet. Eyebrow grooming, lash lifting, and eyelash extensions are also included in the spa’s beauty menu.

Spa Botanica’s waxing services address body hair issues on the face and body, which includes face waxing, armpit waxing, and both bikini and Brazilian waxes. Men can also avail of waxing at the spa to for the removal of hair on the shoulder, back, chest, and stomach.

For guests who want their loved ones to experience Spa Botanica’s services, the spa offers gift certificates that can be availed for both treatments and cash value. Returning guests can also sign up for spa memberships, making them eligible for significant discounts on special treatments.

Hotel guests and residents of the Discovery Bay community can get special discounts and other privileges on certain dates. The spa is open to guests from outside the property as well.

Getting There

Spa Botanica is located in the Auberge Discovery Bay hotel in Lantau Island’s exclusive Discovery Bay community. Lantau is a 20-minute drive away from Hong Kong International Airport and almost an hour from Central. The hotel is also home to the Cafe Bord du Mer, which specializes in Western and pan-Asian specialties.
